Plast Toronto and Uprava UPO would like to bring your attention to several matters pertaining to the NATURAL ENVIRONMENT at Plastova Oselia which we should all be aware of.

The forested lands beyond the cottage properties are subject to special maintenance and preservation practices as outlined below:
This is a notice that the Plast forest to the north of the Oselia cottage lots is significant. It is subject to an ecological inventory and management plan updated and submitted to the Ontario government every 10 years (latest update 2020). Plast has been paying reduced property taxes through the Ontario Managed Forest Tax Incentive Program on the basis of its maintenance of the forest and regular commitment to good forestry practices. Such practices would not include: extension of mowing, dumping of garbage and inappropriate removals of trees, shrubs or other plants in the forest beyond the cottage lots.
If we do not abide by these forest management practices, the Ministry could cause the tax status to be revoked and even the saved taxes to be repaid.
Please refrain from cutting down any trees or removing any plant material beyond your individual lots.
